What is The People's Exhibition?
The People's Exhibition is a two-part arts event created especially for Light Night 2011.
In the run up to Light Night I'll be asking people to take pictures of everything and anything they love about Leeds. These will be both digital and from disposable cameras given out, and can be artistic, sentimental, fun, odd...anything goes (so long as it's legal and family friendly!) Get involved (see the button above), go crazy, and don't hesitate to play around with effects!
These images will be printed and displayed in Leeds City Museum Arena on 7th October, creating a web of memories and experiences from the people of Leeds, and will be preserved for all time on this blog.
On the night there will be materials available for visitors to create a piece of art of what they love about Leeds to display alongside the photographs, building up throughout the night to create a truly spectacular exhibition by the people, for the people.
Viva le People's Exhibition!
